Shipping & returns

Tracked delivery anywhere in the United States. Free on orders of $75 or more; below that the only method offered is Express Delivery at $22, which is also available above the threshold as a paid upgrade. Allow 5 to 7 days, after a 24 to 48 hour handling time.

We give you 15 days from delivery to return an unused item. That is our own policy rather than a United States statutory right, because federal law gives no cooling-off period for an online purchase. Send it back unused and in resaleable condition and we refund what you paid for it, less a $29 per order handling charge; on a change of mind you also cover the return postage and the original delivery charge is not refunded. If the item arrives faulty, damaged or not as described, none of that applies: tell us and we put it right at our cost.

Your rights under federal and state consumer protection law are unaffected. That is a statutory right and nothing on this page limits it.

About this product

An optional $7 added at checkout.

Offsets the estimated emissions from making and shipping your order. Entirely optional and it changes nothing else about the order.

A $7 option you can add to any order. It covers the estimated carbon emissions from manufacturing, packaging and delivering what you bought.

It is entirely voluntary. Adding it changes nothing about your delivery, your price on anything else, or your returns rights.

We work with environmental organisations to estimate the footprint of an order and to buy credits against projects that reduce or remove emissions.

If you would rather not, do not add it. Nobody is charged this without choosing it.

Shipping physical goods has a footprint: the manufacture, the packaging and the journey. This option lets you cover the estimated emissions of your own order rather than leaving it as somebody else's problem.

It is priced flat at $7 and it is genuinely optional. Nothing about the order changes if you leave it out, and nothing is added unless you choose it.

We are deliberately not claiming your order becomes carbon neutral, or putting a tonnage on it. What is bought is a credit against projects that reduce or remove emissions, based on an estimate, and calling an estimate a guarantee would be the wrong thing to do on a page about honesty.

Still deciding?

Not sure yet? That is fine.

You can change your mind. We give you 15 days from delivery on any unused item. That is our own policy rather than a United States statutory right, because federal law gives no cooling-off period for an online purchase, and we would rather say so than imply a right you do not have. Send it back unused and in resaleable condition and we refund what you paid for it, less the $29 per order handling charge; on a change of mind you also cover the return postage.

If it turns up faulty, damaged or not as described, that is on us. Your rights under federal and state consumer protection law are unaffected. Read the detail on our refunds and returns page, or ask us anything before you order.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this compulsory?

No. It is an option at checkout and nothing is added unless you choose it.

How much is it?

$7, flat, per order.

What does it cover?

The estimated emissions from manufacturing, packaging and delivering your order.

Does it make my order carbon neutral?

We do not claim that. It buys a credit against an estimated footprint, and an estimate is not a guarantee.

Where does the money go?

Into credits with environmental organisations whose projects reduce or remove carbon dioxide.

Can I add more than one?

You can, but one covers one order.

Is it refundable?

If you return the order, contact us and we will handle the offset line with the rest of the refund.

Do I get a certificate?

No. It is a small contribution pooled with others, not an individually certified retirement.

Can I add it to an order I already placed?

Email us and we will tell you the simplest way to handle it.

Does it cover my return shipping?

No. The estimate covers manufacture, packaging and outbound delivery.

Is $7 the right number?

It is a flat contribution rather than a per order calculation, which we would rather say plainly than dress up as precision.

Which projects does it fund?

Projects run by the environmental organisations we work with, which reduce or remove carbon dioxide.

Is it tax deductible?

We cannot advise on that. It is a purchase rather than a donation to a registered charity, so ask whoever does your taxes.

Why is it optional?

Because it should be your choice, and because a compulsory charge presented as an option is neither.

Can I see the emissions figure?

It is an estimate across a category of orders rather than a per order measurement, which is exactly why we do not publish a number as though it were one.

Do you offset anything without this?

This option is what funds the offsetting. We do not claim to offset orders that do not include it.

Can a business add it to a wholesale order?

Yes. Mention it on the quote request.

Will it appear on my invoice?

Yes, as its own line.

Can I remove it after adding it?

Yes, any time before you pay, like any other line in the cart.

Who do I ask about it?

theteam@pestspike.com, and a real person answers.

Does it expire?

No.

Is it per order or per item?

Per order.

Do you make money on it?

It goes to the offsetting. It is not priced as a margin line.

Why offer it at all?

Shipping physical goods has a footprint, and giving customers a way to cover their own is better than pretending otherwise.

What if I change my mind?

You have 15 days from delivery to return an unused item. A $29 per order handling charge applies and the return postage is yours. The refunds and returns page sets it out in full.

Do you supply trade quantities?

Yes. The wholesale quote page takes the quantity and comes back with trade pricing.

Who do I ask if my question is not here?

Email theteam@pestspike.com. A photo of the area you are trying to protect usually gets a complete answer in one reply.

Does this service include a physical shipment?

No. This is a non-physical service, with no warehouse pick, parcel or tracking number for this line. Any physical products in your order are handled separately under the site delivery policy.

What the offset does and does not cover

What it is

A $7 line you can add to any order. It covers the estimated carbon emissions from making, packing and shipping what you bought.

What we do with it

We work with environmental organisations to estimate the footprint of an order, and the money buys credits against projects that reduce or remove emissions.

What we are not saying

We are not saying your order becomes carbon neutral, and we are not putting a tonnage figure on it. The footprint is an estimate. Dressing an estimate up as a guarantee would be the wrong thing to do on this page in particular.

It is optional

Nothing is added unless you choose it, and leaving it out changes nothing about your order.
